Easy Americana.  Extremely accessible rock with British vocals swingy like a pendulum.  Like The Avett Brothers covering Squeeze.  Jingly, jangly, and pleasant, constantly toeing the line between authentically folk and indulgently pop.

Deutsches Saxophon Ensemble
review by Laima

A collection of fugues Baroque to contemporary, showing the polyphonic structures as revealed in the saxophone. Play most! Interesting since the sax was not invented at the time the works were composed, yet are beautifully exposed.

Pianist/composer here has written piecess for cello and piano, spanning intensity and quietude, highly emotive. Trks 12 & 22 especially nice.

More improvisations using specialized guitars and percussion from Kastning, Szabo and Major. Eastern/jazz elements. Interesting!

Maya Beiser et al.
review by Laima

Somewhat mininalist pianist/composer Harrison here works with cellist Maya Beiser and mixes cello overlays, piano, chorus/voice with Eastern elements. Mostly quiet, ethereal. Play most!

Heloise and the Savoir Faire

Diamond Dust | Simian Records

Burlington's own Heloise is back with her band (an electro-pop band based mostly out of NYC).  This is their sophomore album inspired by 70s funky disco and contemporary synth-pop.

RIYL: Blondie, Yelle, Robyn | Recommended Tracks: #1, #2, #6 | FCC Warning: #5, #10
